Located in the north of Namibia, just two hours from the Etosha Pan and en route to the pristine Bushman Country and the Caprivi region, Dornhügel Guest Farm offers a unique experience. Here, you can immerse yourself in the warmth of Namibian farm life, combining rustic charm with a homely atmosphere and stylish ambiance.
Experience the essence of farm living—join us for a thrilling game drive, spend time at the waterhole, chat with the farmer's family, or even become deeply involved in the day-to-day activities of the farm. Accompany our farmhands as they go about their tasks and meet our herd of up to 1,000 cows, along with 50 horses, giraffes, kudus, elands, dik-diks, warthogs, and other wildlife. If you're lucky, you may even spot a shy leopard. You’ll also have the chance to witness how we use local wood to produce charcoal.
Additionally, Dornhügel provides opportunities to attend a cattle auction, visit the Omulunga boarding school as part of their community outreach, or take a cultural trip to Bushman Country, where guests can engage with the San Bushmen’s traditions and crafts. These experiences offer a perfect blend of adventure, culture, and farm life.
Our guest farm features eight spacious, individually decorated rooms, arranged around a lush, green courtyard—a true oasis in the heart of the farm. Each room is equipped with mosquito nets, allowing you to enjoy the cool African night air or, if you prefer, retreat to the comfort of air conditioning for a restful sleep.
All rooms offer modern amenities, including Wi-Fi, a mini-bar, and an en-suite bathroom with a shower and a separate toilet, ensuring both comfort and convenience during your stay.
